Yes.: Yes. A person who has a large bladder cancer with satellite tumors has a serious health problem. This can almost never be treated by putting medicine into the bladder. It usually requires surgery and/or radiation therapy and/or chemotherapy, Bladder cancer is not hereditary. The most common cause in the United States is cigarette smoking.

Possibly: You must realize, it is very tough to guess what may be wrong. Worry will cause you anxiety and make you feel horrible. Best to wait and see what the biopsy shows, then if it is bad news, tackle the issue with a strong positive attitude. Best wishes to dad.

Need studies: The severity of bladder cancers depend on several factors. Can the tumors be removed without removing the entire bladder? Do they extend through the bladder wall? Do they extend beyond the bladder to lymph nodes or more distant sites? How immature are the tumor cells? The pathology report and CT and/or MRI studies will tell us. Then, the treatment and the long term outlook can be stated.
