How can you tan without risking skin cancer?

Tanning and Cancer: Tanning results from exposure to ultraviolet radiation. Melanocytes in the skin produce more melanin which causes the skin to darken or tan. Exposure to ultraviolet radiation is a major risk factor for developing skin cancer. The more you tan the more you are exposed to harmful ultraviolet radiation and the more you risk getting skin cancer.
