Psychotherapy: Psychotherapy is the best medicine for painful thoughts and memories from the past. Although it is hard at first to share these issues with a therapist, they are trained to help you and once you know them they can help you sort through the pain. Find a therapist & let us know how it has helped.

Agree w Dr. Lavi.: Encourage you to start with a psychiatric evaluation. Some of the effective treatments available include emdr ; cognitive processing therapy (an offshoot of cognitive behavioral therapy specif for ptsd). Psychiatric meds are often indicated. Psychotherapy ; group tx are often helpful. Take care.

Meds and therapy: In the rare cases of severe bullying where perceived or actual loss of life or catastrophic injury with no chance of escape, yes, PTSD symptoms can manifest themselves. Get a full psychiatric evaluation to assess for PTSD symptomology, and consider appropriate medications. Next find a reputable psychotherapist who specializes in PTSD. Bottom line, generally medication and psychotherapy is the best
