Best Treatment: You are on Celexa (citalopram) . This is a ssri - a great choice for ptsd & prazosin- outstanding for off-label treatment of nightmares & insomnia. Sometimes the prazosin dose needs to be fairly high. 4 great options for treatment are: cognitive processing therapy, virtual reality exposure therapy, group psychotherapy with other vets & psychoeducation. Thank you for your service to our country. God bless.

PTSD: Combat ptsd can be debilitating and can be treated effectively with psychotherapy with a qualified mental health professional who specializes in helping resolve the suffering of ptsd. Once you connect with a clinical psychologist he or she can help decide if and when medication is needed. Best wishes.
