Arm bruising: Consider ruptured blood vessels and contusion/ecchymosis.

Bleeding: Was this a coronary angiogram via radial approach? If that is so, the bruising is from bleeding within the arm from the procedure. This is usually self-limiting, and usually resolves without further intervention. However, if you have severe pain/swelling in the arm/forearm you should seek immediate medical help (indicates that blood supply to the forearm is compromised due to excessive swelling).
