Possible spasm: The approach you describe sounds like the radial artery (wrist) and spasm of the artery is not uncommon with this procedure, it typically resolves and is often without symptoms. Rarely, there is interruption of flow through the artery. I recommend returning to the cardiologist or to your doctor to inquire about possible ultrasound of the artery to check the flow. If symptoms worsen, go to ER.
