Patient Assistance: Most of the drug companies offer a patient assistance program based upon financial need. Your pharmacist may know how to access them for you. They are available as well on the company websites.

Dont stop: If you stop the Plavix (clopidogrel) too early it could cause a blood clot and a major heart attack. Hopefully the doctors know about your insurance situation and gave you the noncoated stents that only need 1 month of Plavix (clopidogrel) rather than a year. The doctor or hospital social worker should be able to help find you some free samples of Plavix (clopidogrel) or a related pill.
