No.: Our best studies indicate that the benefits of Plavix (clopidogrel) (depending on the circumstances leading to your stent) extend out to at least nine months, perhaps even as much as a year. While you look past the window of opportunity for Plavix (clopidogrel) to give you the most benefit, there is likely still some benefit to be had by using this medicine as directed.

Depends: There are 2 types of stents: medicated and unmedicated. Medicated stents require Plavix (clopidogrel) for one year. Unmedicated stents require Plavix (clopidogrel) for one month. If you have a medicated stent, it may be appropriate to restart plavix (clopidogrel). This should be discussed with your physician.
