Tree nuts contain omega 3 in the form of Alpha linolenic acid. 1oz of walnuts, a handful, contains 2.5g of omega 3 much higher than in most other nuts containing less than 0.5g. 1oz of walnuts also provides 4g of protein, 2g of fiber, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant phytonutrients, minerals and vitamins.
