Lymph nodes: Lymph nodes are throughout your neck and body. They can enlarge for a variety of reasons including infection, inflammation and even cancer. Often, a needle aspiration of lymph nodes helps to tell what is going on with a lymph node, so this is the right step in the process of evaluation. The ultrasound characteristics are somewhat concerning, so get the needle test so you'll know what it is.
