I have a ct scan with a 3mm kidney stone, unobstructive causing considerable pain for over 3 weeks and have not seen a urologist. what should i do?

See below: See an urologist immediately that stone can cause an infection in the kidney and could with time destroy the kidney.

Stones: A few pertinent facts about kidney stones: 1. Stones 5mm or less have a 66 to 85% chance of spontaneous passage. 2. Non-obstructing calculi do not cause pain. 3. Stones can move in and out of obstructing positions. 4. A urologist can be helpful even if the stone is likely to pass spontaneously, by appropriately medicating pain and prescribing a medication that may help some stones to pass.
