A member asked:

What does vitamin a do for our skin and body?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Skin tone, eyesight: Vitamin a is essential for healthy eyes and skin. It exists naturally in liver, butter, lean meat, and eggs; and its precursor, beta-carotene, is in colorful vegetables such as carrots, sweet potatoes and spinach. So if you eat a healthy diet, you're getting plenty and don't need supplements. Also, too much vitamin a can cause liver & other health problems - also birth defects if you're pregnant.
