Stimulates collagen: Vitamin c is responsible for stimulating the production of collagen, as essential protein which keeps your skin firm and more youthful looking. Apart from slowing the rate of aging through collagen production, vitamin c is also shown to play a significant role in preventing the most common forms of cancer, stroke, and other cardiovascular diseases.

Buy Vit C carefully: Naturally occurring vitamin c is not particularly stable, so product preparation is important. For a topical vitamin c formulation to work, it must remain stable, penetrate the skin, and be available in high enough concentration to have a biologic effect. Research indicates the gold standard is stable l-ascorbic acid at high concentration (between 10% - 20%) and at low ph (<3.5).

Although vit C: Is used in many anti-aging skin lotions, it's been a bit of a disappointment. Yes it has anti-oxidant activity, but no, it's not going to make your skin look significantly younger.
