Nasal polyps: Oral steroids can shrink polyps, but it is usually temporary. However, many of my patients come to me 2-3 times yearly for steroids, and they are to manage to avoid surgery. If steroids don't help much, surgery would be the next logical step.

No: The polyps need removed. It can be a relatively minor procedure by ENT dr, depending on situation.
