See your Dr: Need evaluated to see if your treatment should be modified / optimized (sounds like it), to reduce frequency / severity / duration of your symptoms and decrease reliance upon your rescue inhaler. Possibly an inhaled steroid+long acting beta agonist combination. Call your dr--while having symptoms.

What kind?: If you use only albuterol regularly for your asthma without being treated with an inhaled steroid, your asthma often gets worse. You need to see an allergist soon. Congratulations for your success in quitting smoking which usually makes asthma worse.
