Tylenol (acetaminophen): Depends on the cause of the febrile illness. Mild self-limiting illnesses can be treated symptomatically. Many believe fever is beneficial, but if you are uncomfortable with it or have conditions which may be exacerbated by fever, the use of an antipyretic like Aspirin or tylenol (acetaminophen) should lower the temperature. If it persists, see your doctor.
