A member asked:

Baby (2.5 years old) is vomiting and has a little bit of fever. do i have to take her in to doctor or just continue home treatment with valoid for vomiting and some calpol for now, or ponstan if the fever goes high?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Monitor as needed: The area to watch is her fluid status. If she is able to take in enough to wet some at least every 8 hrs she is hydrated. Applesauce /jello/sweetened fluids/etc. taken in small frequent feeds usually gets them through this. Low grade fever is expected for up to several days.
