Yes definitely: Folic acid is essential for developing baby's nervous system. If you aren't on any anti-seizure medication, no history of seizures or neural tube defects in you or family then 800mcg of Folic Acid a day is super. If you have those risk factors or your md has told you, you may need to increase that dose.

Take the folate (folic acid): No problem taking the folate (folic acid). Have you seen an endocrinologist? How high are the prolactin levels ? Did they obtain a high resolution MRI of the brain in pituitary protocol? You may need input from both your neurosurgeon and endocrinologist to confirm that you actually have a prolactin producing tumor (prolactinoma). Elevated prolactin levels alone do not mean much - see someone experienced.
