Need more info: Ceftriaxone is good therapy if the e. Coli is sensitive in vitro, the abscess has been drained, and the precipitating cause removed. 4-6 weeks of treatment is appropriate, but before dcing therapy need WBC count, esr, CRP and results of imaging studies in follow-up. Consult with your urologist, infectious diseases doctor or both. Hope this is cured soon.
