i noticed after i gave birth a yr ago my 2 big toes are numb and now and again i get sharp shooting pain seir through them which lasts minutes. why?

Pinched nerve: It is possible that you may have developed a herniated disc which is placing pressure on your lumbar nerves, resulting in the great toe numbness. A lumbar MRI would nail down that diagnosis. Since you've had the symptoms for a year, i would advise evaluation with a physician.

Likely: During delivery you got a nerve entrapment. Check with neurolo.
