Is post op. adhesions after colorectal surgeries have anything to do with the surgeon skills or just the patient tendency to develop adhesions?

Probably the patient: Even the best surgeons may have patients develop adhesions--particularly if they are dealing with things that are infected.

The patient: All operations cause adhesions; the type of surgery has some role, as does the disease process - more common with infections or inflammatory diseases than cancers, for example. Surgeon skill has very little to do with it. Some patients do seem more prone to adhesion problems, and nobody knows exactly why.
