What age can a child be put on medicine for having adhd?

EARLY: I have seen some under 5 years old, but psychiatric eval should come 1st, including eval of family. Symptoms might be from something else.

Age to medicate: For children less than 5 years of age behavioral approaches and parent effectiveness training are the first approaches. However, there are situations where even younger children are treated with medication, such as 4 to 5 year olds.
