Most can: There are widely available symptom inventory tests for adults, similar to those used by parents for their children. Talk to your primary dr about your concerns. You can also google for those tests and bring completed ones with you to potentially save time.

Expert Assessment: Pcps do diagnose adhd. But diagnosing adhd requires assessing symptoms & their history and ruling out other disorders. You see adhd behavioral symptoms overlap widely w/those of other disorders -e.g., anxiety, depression, learning disabilities, etc. Also, someone may be diagnosed wadhd & other disorder(s). See psychiatrist or clinical psychologist 4 good assessment. We spend yrs training 4 this.

Proper evaluation of adult or kid is a lengthy process & includes input from multiple specialists.Beware of anyone that would label or treat based on a simple "quiz' and office visit.
