Diet recomendations: Reduce consumption of red meat.Avoid sugary foods or beverage.If alcoholic beverages are allowed, consume in moderation limit supplemental vitamin c to 200 milligrams/dose, avoid foods high in animal fats
consume plenty of fruits and vegetables, including spinach. Eat nuts, grains, rice and beans.Avoid raw shellfish if iron levels are elevated.Tea or coffee with meals can reduce absorption of iron.
