Sounds nerve: You may have a nerve that is compressed. You want to find out what may be causing it and address the origin of the pain rather than just the symptom. This can be from swelling due to an adjacent inflamed muscle, edema from dependent positioning, engorged vessel, or contusion/injury. There can also be burning from a systemic disease, like diabetes. See a podiatrist.

Complex mdical issue: Burning feet can be caused by anyone of a number of things, most commonly diabetes, alcoholism, anemia, and hyperthyroidism. It is best to try to find the root cause and treat that rather than the symptoms.
