Possibly: Possibly from the strap or tightness from the heels and more likely from walking at fast pace at work too. The swelling from your feet can press against the straps in your heels to impingement sensation at the superficial nerves on your foot. Not sure how burning traveled benefit your legs to calves and then to the front again of your knees.

Neuroma: This numbness is a common occurrence individuals who wear tight or ill fitting shoes for long periods of time. One or more of the nerves in the interspace of the metatarsals can become compressed and this will cause numbness, tingling, burning sensations. I would recommend seeing your foot and able specialist. They can do a few simple tests to determine of this is the case.
