A member asked:

Pain on top of foot, burning & tingling, radiates up outter leg almost feels like electrical sensation, what's the cause?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Many possibilities: Unfortunately, the process of getting sensation from your foot to your brain has many steps, and as such there are many things that can go wrong. Some possibilities include pinched peroneal nerve at the knee, pinched nerve root in the lower spine, irritation in the spinal cord itself, or a problem in the brain. A neurologist can help localize the problem and determine an effective treatment.
