How should i treat gallstones?

Surgery or Ursodiol: The standard treatment for gall stones is surgery. Drugs such as ursodiol can dissolve some types of gall stones but must be taken forever because when stopped gall stones usually come back.

Possibly surgery: If the gallstones are consistently causing problems (pain with eating, jaundice, pancreatitis), the gallbladder should be surgically removed. Avoiding fatty foods and losing weight can help lessen these symptoms and may make surgery unnecessary.
