Noncontact sports OK: There is no contra-indication to non-contact sports for patients with breast implants.

Yes, but...: Patients are able to return to all forms of activity, including contact sports at some point after breast augmentation surgery. Your plastic surgeon will be your best resource when it comes to the timing of return to specific activities. For example, most patients are able to return to a desk job 5 to 7 days after the procedure is performed. Heavier lifting may need to wait for 4 to 6 weeks.

Live your life: Once patients have satisfactorily healed from having breast implant surgery, i tell them to "live their lives". If plastic surgeons put limitations on people's lifestyles after they had breast implants, patients would not get breast implants. At some point, implants rupture. Unfortunately that is the reality. But studies show they can last many years.

Possibly: During the acute stages of wound healing, I do not recommend any kind of strenuous activity like this. After that, you might be taking an extra risk of trauma to the implant when you boxercise, but you have to live your life as you see fit.
