Aging Breast Implant: Breast implants also age. That is why at some point in the future a woman should plan that the breast implants will have to be exchanged. They can rupture requiring replacement or need to be exchanged and a lift added as the breasts sag. Most women can go at least 10 years before needing a replacement. However, some women can go 20-30 years without any issues.

Eventually rupture: Breast implants are not "life long" devices. Eventually they rupture and need replacement. The breast around them also ages and changes may prompt patients to consider additional surgery over time. The breast and the implant within it can have differing changes over time. Some change little and others change more profoundly with weight loss and gain and pregnancy and/or breastfeeding.

They wear out: Like everything else, breast implants aren't permanent devices and eventually they wear out.

You age around them: Implants are not permanent, so you will eventually need to replace them. However, as you age, your skin will change and your native breast volume will change relative to your implant, which tends to stay more constant. The implant will change if you have a capsular contracture or deflation, but your tissues will change simply by aging.

Hopefully nothing: The breast tissue can thin, the breast can sag... Basically all the things that would happen normally. Some women are fortunate enough to have minimal long-term changes. This is more likely if you and your surgeon choose an implant that is appropriate for your breast.
