Sure: It is safe for your dentist to extract the tooth if it is loose.... If you were asking if it was safe for you to extract your own tooth since it was loose, i would advise against it since there are complications you are not prepared to handle.

If.....: If you have a loose wisdom tooth, there is a strong likelihood that you have an infection. It is safe for a qualified dentist to extract your tooth with proper antibiotic coverage and barring certain medical conditions that would warrant other precautions. Discuss this issue with your own general dentist or better yet an oral surgeon if you still have concerns.
