It's very treatable: In young children, the commonest type of lymphoma is hodgkins lymphoma. It repsonds very well to chemotherapy and radiation and the chance of cure is over 80-90% depending on the stage of disease. Yes it is a malignant condition but with the lastest treatment, the outlook is usually very good.

Yes: Lymphoma is a cancer. Depending on extent and type of lymphoma there is very effective treatment with chemotherapy and possibly radiation. Lymphoma is generally considered one of the more cureable malignancies.
