No single best way: Different strains of candida are sensitive/resistant to diff. Treatments so there is no single best way. It is ideal to do a culture with a lab like genova or doctor's data that will do sensitivity testing to see what works best, but it doesn't always grow on culture. No treatment will work without a very low starch diet for several months. I advise consulting a holistic md with expertise in this.

Many natural treatments can be effective including oregano oil, pau d'arco, grapefruit seed extract, garlic and enzymes. Often it requires a combination approach. Successful treatment takes months and again, will not succeed without a proper diet. Probioitcs are important too. Diet & probiotic: I agree with the previous doctor. A low carbohydrate diet with particular stress on avoiding simple sugars is the best "home remedy" along with probiotic use. See a holistic doctor for further evaluation if these simple maneuvers are not helping.
