What does a kidney infection feel like? do u get pain in back?

Deep flank pain: Symptoms may include fevers, strong teeth -chattering chills, malaise and exquisitely tender, sharp/stabbing deep pain on the flank of the side of the infected kidney, usually below the lower edge of the rib cage. For any person who experienced this, it's excrutiatingly painful.
