Might need ABX chang: If you have not seen an improvement in 4 days, you might want to check back with your physician. It could be the bladder infection is not sensitive to that antibiotic or maybe there is something else causing the pain that you thought was a bladder infection. Additionally, Nitrofurantoin is a great medication but does not have the coverage of bacteria that other bladder antibiotics have.

Monitor: It can take meds days to start to have effect. Watch for progressing symptoms like worsening pain, increasing g fever, new symptoms. If you are stable, i would continue plan. If worsening, go back to doc.

Did they do C&S on: The urine .Culture and sensitivity report on the urine, if they did , the result should be out by this time and they could change the antibiotic for you which will hopefully make better.
