Is fructose as damaging as other types of sugars (glucose)? if so, should we limit our fruit consumption if trying to cut down on monosaccharides?

Sugars are enemy: Yes. Of course. Sugar is sugar is sugar. If you have a weight problem then fruits (which are 100% sugar) are part of the things you should avoid when attempting to control your blood sugar or weight.
