Examination: You could have acid reflux or need a thorough cleaning or other pathology's. You should go to the doctor to determine the cause of the taste and if reflux is the issue, then you can help this by going to the doctor.

GERD/Reflux: I have seen this in patient with severe reflux(heartburn). The acid from the stomach and sometimes the contents regurgitate causing discoloration of the tongue, bad taste, erosion of the enamel on the tongue side of the teeth, etc. If you are not taking anything for gerd, i would start taking something over the counter(prilosec). I would see your md or dentist asap to address and treat.
