Baking soda in water: Stomach acids from gastric reflux can be very irritating on the throat and vocal cords leading to hoarseness and dry mouth. Omeprazole can also dry out normal secretions that keep your mouth moist. Avoiding acidic foods (citrus, tomatoes, etc.) spicy foods and alcohol can help control gerd. Drinking a glass of water with a teaspoon of baking soda after meals will neutralize acids too.
