YES: While people don't know the cause of geographic tongue- gerd and stress are two plausible causes. Try to get the gerd under better control and see if tongue problem goes away.

GERD Aggravates It: Gerd is probably not the cause of geographic tongue, but stomach acids in the mouth can aggravate your tongue condition. Acidic/spicy foods can have the same effect. There's really no treatment for geographic tongue. The signs will come and go, but they'll never disappear completely. Avoid foods/drinks which are uncomfortable. That's about all you can do.
