Varies: Alot depends on the chronic ity of the BP elevation. If acute, sudden rise in bp, there will often be associated symptoms of head ache, mental status changes, chest pain, or shortness of breath. If chronic exposure to high BP is present, then less symptoms are likely to be seen despite similarly high BP readings.
