Need more info!: What type of lung cancer? Different types have different survival rates. That being said, the average 5 year survival for all stage 2 lung cancers is 40-50%. Just remember what mark twain had to say about statistics: "there are 3 kinds of lies: lies, damn lies, and statistics!" statistics apply to groups. Individual experiences can, and do, vary.

About 30%: Stage ii cancer overall has about a 44% survival. !a is a little higher, and iib a little lower.
