What does a 5yr survival rate mean when refering to lung cancer?

About odds: We don't usually speak of "cure" when we're dealing with cancer, especially something as treacherous as lung cancer. For each subtype of lung cancer, at each stage of presentation, there's data as to what percent of people are alive with disease, and alive without signs of disease, at five years, comparisons made for different rx groups. The numbers are better than they used to be. Wish you luck.
