Probably same: Once disease pattern established will be close to the same. Rate of occurrence higher in smokers! emphysema more common, plus heart disease and PVD in smokers will add to risks of death with lung cancer, but it is the predominant influence depending on surgical opportunity, stage, and response to therapy.

Stage dependent: Once cancer develops, survival is based on the stage. Smoking has little to do with survival at that point. The higher the stage, the lower the survival.
