Depends: Some conditions are exquisitely sensitive to steroids eye drops and other conditions less so. It really depends on the reason for the inflammation you have. Be sure to follow your ophthalmologist's treatment plan and keep in close follow up with them to make sure you are progressing properly.

Steroid drops: When you have eye inflammation, steroid drops often help relieve the symptoms in a couple of days. If the inflammation is more severe, it can often take longer for the eye to improve. Also, it's very important to be followed by your eye doctor when you use steroid drops. Long-term use of these can cause eye pressure to go up and can also lead to cataracts developing.
