Diarrhea: No Imodium (loperamide) for diarrhea in children. It may mask some organic cause. Childhood diarrhea is mostly viral origin, usually associated with nausea, vomiting, low grade fever, flatulance, abdominal discomfort; resolves in 3 - 5 days. Treatment is supportive, pedialyte for each diarrhea, according to the size of diarrheal stool. Yogort, bananna, rice, applesauce, toast and increase fluid intake help.
