Yes, fleas : Carry diseases such as murine typhus. You need professional pest control and flea control of your cats. Ask vet for recommendation for best flea medicine for your cats. Good luck, sometimes fleas are difficult to eradicate once your home is infested.

Sometimes: Fleas can carry tapeworms & murine typhus. In some parts of the world to include the southwestern United States they can carry a bacteria called yersinia pestis which can cause bubonic plague.
