A member asked:

Is a heart rate hovering between 50-60 bpm safe? i'm now on diltiazem and losartan for hbp, and it was always in the 70-80 bpm range previously.

Yes is safe: It's an effect of the calcium channel blocker diltiazem. If asymptomatic it's no problem.

Yes, it's ok.: The slow heart rate is likely due to diltiazem, it is ok to have hr between 50-60 as long as you do not feel tired or dizzy.
