I have hypertension and on 50mg. losartan. it does keep my bp in a manageable level. however i also have hiatus hernia and gerd. i now have tinnitus thumping heartbeat all the time i also have palpitations and heart flutters ?

If you have palpitations and heart flutters, please seek immediate care for further evaluation. Do not stop the medication without speaking to your doctor first. A hiatal hernia can cause symptoms of GERD, but are not usually related to hypertension or palpitations.

The symptoms & issues listed above are all not uncommon as we get older. The Good News is that they are all treatable/manageable in our current Medical Practices. One's PCP/ GP is a good place to start. In addition a visit with the Cardiologist for HTN & Palpitations;- Gastroenterologist for Hiatal Hernia & GERD should help. Tinnitus is not always easy to manage but an ENT consult might help.
