A member asked:

My pcp diagnosed me with hbp. i have panic disorder and it causes blood pressure spikes. he decided to put me on losartan 50mg because he said there is evidence of heart starting to thicken looking at my ekg over the years, can anxiety cause this?

Anxiety can cause all kinds of symptoms. Your HBP may be related to it . Pl see a doc for it. If there are EKG changes you need to see a cardiologist. I think once your anxiety is treated your BP will come down and you will be OK
