You don't mention what your resting heart rate is, especially when you're experiencing palpitations and whether a true cardiac arrhythmia has been documented by monitoring or EKG. I wouldn't count on lexapro to lower heart rate or BP unless it relieves stress and anxiety. You may need a stronger dose of diltiazem. Your physician or cardiologist can advise you best as he/she knows your case well.
